Adventures in Morocco - Rabat

Hello everyone,

I just came back from holidays in Morocco. I flighted there with my friend :) We reached Morocco Rabat around 7-8 o clock in the evening. We met in airport one girl from Lithuania and she was with two more friends. And we decided to take one taxi to reach Rabat city. By the airport we found men who was looking people for taxi drivers. One man took one girl's luggage to take till taxi , but after that he asked to pay money. :)) In the taxi we made a deal that we will pay 200 (MAD) moroccan dirhams (around 20 euro). Driver supposed to drop first girls, then us to our hotel. But when he dropped girls to their hotel, he asked to pay 200 MAD and that we will have to pay 100 MAD more. We had a argument, that we made a deal for 200 MAD. But he wanted more money. So we decided to pay 200 MAD and me and my friend to get another taxi to reach our hotel. And it was really good decision. Because we got a little blue taxi (in Rabat city all taxi is in blue color) and we paid just 9 MAD to reach our place (it's about 90 cents of euro).

We got very nice and warm welcome in our Riad Dar Yanis. We really enjoyed stay here. Because staff was very friendly, location was in good place. Medina is near, to reach beach takes about 10 mins by walk, and train station also very near. Here is my short video of the place where we stayed:

And here is some pics:

So first night we went to get some food. We took shawarma and we decided to find the beach to eat there.

It is on the way to the beach.

You can't see in the pic, but waves was huge.. We were sitting there couple of hours.. Enjoyed the view and sound.. We went to sleep very late, so in the morning it was hard to get up. But when we did it, we got our breakfast and moved to train station. Because our next destination was Casablanca..
